There will never be a day that goes by unseen, or a prayer that goes unheard. God is always with you. Whether you feel Him or not, hear Him or not, see Him or not. He is always there. He is always working and nudging your steps into a straighter path. Even when it doesn’t seem He is around.
He is with you.
Sometimes, we don’t see or feel Him because we are looking for Him in the wrong places. We think that He should look differently for us, or feel differently for us. He should answer our prayers in the way we see fit. In the way He answered someone else’s. And we miss Him, even though He is right there with us. We find ourselves with empty hands, when He wants to fill them with His hope, His love, His blessings. We miss Him all because we are looking to what we think should be, instead of all that He has for us.
We look at the flesh, instead of Jesus.
The enemy wants you to look to your left when God is standing on your right. He wants to distract you and whisper lies that God must not care about you, or hear you, or somehow skipped over you. But God is Creator, Father, Redeemer, Helper, Provider. He is Love.
True love never fails you. True love always sees you. True love will endure to the end for you. But true love looks differently than what we have been taught, and feels differently than what we have been taught. God is everything that the world teaches against. We live in a world that teaches us that love looks like physical things and feels like idle time. That what our flesh wants, it must have in order to know love. But these are lies. So we must train ourselves to hear Him, see Him and feel Him in each day. We must read His word and learn His ways so that we may find Him.
Today, let us be diligent enough to quiet the world so that we can know and believe that He is with us. That even if we cannot hear Him, we can have the eyes to see Him. And if we cannot see Him, that we would be sensitive enough to feel Him.
He is all around.
Always with you.
Always working in your favor.
But you have to look in the right places in your life. You have to trust and let go of what you think should be, and simply walk in God’s love, instead of the world’s. You have to be OK with finding Him where He is, just as He is OK with taking you just as you are.
Today, look for Him. Seek Him and find Him. Where is He?
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
“They should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us.” (Acts 17:27)
“I love those who love Me, and those who seek me diligently find Me.” (Proverbs 8:17)
